A hectare is 247.11 cents, and the are (100 sq m) used in Kerala records is 2.47 cents.

Questions
Frequently asked.
How many cents are in a hectare?
A hectare is about 247.11 cents, because it equals 2.4711 acres. Two and a half acres is just over one hectare. You need this when a Kerala record gives area in hectares and ares and the seller quotes cents.
How do I turn 275 cents into acres and cents?
Divide by 100: 275 cents is 2 acres and 75 cents, or 2.75 acres. The acres are the part before the decimal point and the cents the two digits after it. That simple split is why the cent is so easy to work with.
Is a cent the same size in Tamil Nadu and Kerala?
Yes. In both states a cent is one-hundredth of an acre, 435.6 sq ft. Chennai also uses the ground of 2,400 sq ft (5.51 cents) for city plots, so check whether a Tamil Nadu listing is in cents or grounds.
