Questions
Why must the buyer bring their phone?
Many registration offices verify identity with an Aadhaar-linked OTP or biometric check during the process. If the phone linked to Aadhaar isn’t with the person, the registration can stall at the counter.
Who can be a witness at registration?
Usually two adults who are not parties to the deal, carrying original photo ID. Check your state registration department’s current requirement, and confirm the witnesses a day earlier — a missing witness is a common reason for rescheduling.
Tips
- Registration rules differ by state; check the document list on the state registration department’s portal.
- Carry a buffer: appointment slots at busy sub-registrar offices often run late.
- In PropZolo, add the registration date to the deal so the reminder goes out on schedule.
The SMS version must match a template registered on DLT. Utility templates must relate to something the customer asked for.
