Questions

Do I have to confirm an opt-out?

A confirmation shows the request was heard and stops the customer complaining twice. Under India’s data-protection law, withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it, so act on STOP immediately — the confirmation is the record.

Can I still send service messages after an opt-out?

Yes, for a transaction the customer has with you — a booking, a payment, a visit they asked for. Say so in the confirmation, as this message does, so service updates aren’t mistaken for ignoring the opt-out.

Tips

  • Send exactly one confirmation and nothing promotional after it; repeated messages after STOP lead to spam complaints.
  • Opting out of promotions does not stop service messages such as payment receipts — say so to avoid confusion.
  • PropZolo records the opt-out on the contact, and its send checks skip promotional messages to that number.

The SMS version must match a template registered on DLT. Utility templates must relate to something the customer asked for.
